SMGN introduction

The SMG Network explores issues arising from the changing models of school governance which have developed with Scottish schools over the past two decades. An overview of the network, containing an outline of the research projects, is available clicking on the links (see list on the left).

There are three projects in this network:

Project 1: How do schools measure their own progress?

Project 2: Citizenship and democracy

Project 3: School governance in post-devolution Scotland

Membership of SMG Network will provide the following:

  • Information about SMG meetings and events
  • Access to seminar presentations
  • Access to 'general interest' documents and publications produced by the network
